Freedom is portion. Deliverance is DUTY.
What is deliverance and why is it needed?
THE FOUR FOUNDATIONAL STAGES OF BONDAGE
Travel back to the Garden with us for a moment. When the Lord created humanity, he created us to dwell with him. Walk with him. Commune with him. He created us in his own image for good and gave us the gift of free will so we would willingly choose HIM. We all know what happened next. The enemy brought perversion and poisoned humanity with the very free will that was intended as a gift. Through the disobedence of Adam & Eve it brought forth things that we were never originally designed to experience. It opened the door to sin, exposing us to be tormented by unclean spirits through our own sins and the sins of our ancestors. It put admosity between the desendants of Satan and the decendants of humanity. (Genesis 3:15)

When Jesus came, shed his blood and rose again on the third day-it sealed our freedom and FILLED the void created, but we still have to reach out and grab ahold of it. Not letting go. Taking responsibility for our actions, recognizing that we fight a very reel unseen battle and walking boldly in the identity that was always meant to be ours! Coming into the understanding that through the Holy Spirit we have the authority to not only cast out demons but go and sin no more.

Jesus clearly conveyed the existence of unclean spirits (demons) throughout his ministry and even stated that deliverance is the children's bread (Mark 7)- that's YOU as a child of God!
The enemy roams around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. It is written. We do not fight against flesh and blood but things unseen, against rulers of darkness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)

How does one become susceptible to unclean spirits? Open doors to sin. We are affected by our own choices and the choices of others through the perversion of free will as mentioned. Trauma is a major door that the enemy uses to enter in and gain legal rights. Pain. Bitterness. Unforgiveness. Generational Curses. Occult activity. Addiction. and coming in to agreement known or unknown with the enemy.

He wants the children of God in bondage by default. But the Good news is, today is your day!

And FREEDOM is your portion.
STAGE ONE
The Sins of the Fathers & Resulting Curses
This problem is rooted in the second commandment (Exodus 20:6) in which God visits "the iniquities" (pressure to sin) of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations. God requires us to confess our ancestor's sins as well as our own (Leviticus 26:40) to break the power and pressure of their sins in our life (1John 1:9, John 20:23). Then we can appropriate Christ's finished work on the Cross to break Satan's legal power over these curses (Gal. 3:13, Col.2:13-15).

STAGE TWO
Ungodly Beliefs-Belief Systems that DO NOT agree with the Word of God
We form ungodly beliefs from life's circumstances, and inherited ungodly beliefs from our ancestors our parents and grand-parents, uncles, etc. (Matthew 16:21-23), 1Peter 1:17-18). We also live lies learned from our ungodly friends, American Idols and from our culture. Embarrassing experiences teach us lies about life, such as "I am not good." Once you discover these Ungodly Beliefs you need to change them into Godly Beliefs. This is accomplished through Holy Spirit revelation, personal repentance and by renewing our mind according to the Word of God (Romans 12:2).

STAGE THREE
Soul / Spirit Hurts
Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted (Luke 4:18). Soul/Spirit Hurts occur from harmful events such as physical and spiritual abuse, sexual abuse, personal failures, absence of love, physical deformities, arguing and fighting, etc. Jesus heals the hurts of our soul as we "Wait upon the Lord" in His Presence. He shows us what is broken, and then He heals it.

STAGE FOUR
Demonic Oppression
After we have "co-labored with Christ" to bring forgiveness, develop godly beliefs and heal your spirit soul hurts, the demonic strongholds oppressing you can easily be disassembled and destroyed. Working together with the Holy Spirit, you can easily cast out the demons harassing your life. (Mark 16:17)

James 3:13 "Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom. But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. For where envy and self seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing will be there."
